TRANSFORMERS FRIDAY Film Fiesta

Welcome to the Fiesta on this exciting TRANSFORMERS FRIDAY (TM) (C) (R)!!!

Last week I asked which classic movie most deserves a modern day remake. You voted that you think Hollywood should stop remaking classic movies and focus on making movies based on original ideas. Which I guess would also mean more movies based on books, video games, TV shows. Aw crap, the whole damn system is broken.

- Box Office News: A movie from 1994 continues to blow the competition out of the water
- Trailer Time: New Year’s Eve, The Contraband, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, The Human Centipede (Full Sequence), Paranormal Activity 3, and John Dies at the End. I'm fully prepared to launch a false advertising lawsuit if John doesn't die at the end
- In Theaters This Week: 50/50, Courageous, Dream House, and What's Your Number?
- Next Week's Notable DVD Releases: Transformers: Dark of the Moon (9/30), The Lion King, Fast Five (FA5T), and Scream 4 (SCRE4M) (10/4 good buddy). Also TEEN MOM SEASON ONE BITCHES

- Seeing a 3D movie produced by Sony? Get ready to pay extra for glasses
- Amazon and 20th Century Fox have announced a streaming deal, as have Netflix and Dreamworks
- Have a look at Nolan’s Catwoman, aka big boobs in tight leather! Sidenote, who will be the first to make an avatar of smilin' Batman?
- Speaking of The Dark Knight Rises, want to BE in the movie?
- The Avengers are this week's Entertainment Weekly cover story. Here are some more cool pictures courtesy of EW
- MOOOOORRRTTTAAALLL KOOOOOMMMBAAAAATTT!!!
- Wanted 2 is coming. Hopefully they'll avoid using the word "Reloaded" in the final title
- Red Dawn will be released next year. Wait, is that seriously the cast?
- Bridesmaids 2 is a no!
- This ain't your daddy's Lorax...
- Umm, okay then. Remember what I said earlier about original ideas?
- Have you played the new video game Dead Island? No? Well they're making it into a movie
- Another Roald Dahl book is set to be ruined by Hollywood
- ATTN Trekkies: Star Trek: TNG is coming to Blu-Ray in 2012
- Some Guy is editing the Star Wars movies into Star Wars: The Despecialized Edition
- Speaking of Star Trek and Star Wars, William Shatner settles the debate for us (wrongly I might add)

And that brings us to this week's poll:

Star Trek or Star Wars?
Star Trek
Star Wars
Lost in Space
Star Fox
Star Trek Wars
Star Wars Trek
NEEERRRRRDDDDSSS
