Let's Get Comical! - Amazing and Superior Spiders

MORE comic reviews! I told you fools I've been reading stuff! Just gotta find time to write these reviews, as well as split them up into matching reviews!

Today we'll take a look at the landmark Amazing Spider-Man #700 which serves as the end of the Amazing Spider-Man series and transitions into Superior Spider-Man.

I've been trying a new style of review where I don't give out as much plot details and spoilers as possible (hopefully it's been working for the two of you who read this blog!), but I can't really avoid spoilers here, so BEWARE OF SPOILERS.

Girls Season 2 Premiere

Brief Note: I still intend on posting various reviews on this Blog as a way to help my writing, so in addition to comic reviews (I've been reading them, I swear! Just haven't had any time to write anything up yet) I'm going to try to add in various TV shows and maybe movies as well (I intend on rewatching all four seasons of Clone Wars soon in addition to Game of Thrones and Walking Dead... maybe more).

Anyway, I bought my sister Season 1 of Girls for Christmas, mainly because I wanted to check it out myself; all you ever hear is people raving about how good it is. However, looking at the DVD cover, I had a feeling that the main characters would be unlikeable, selfish bitches that would make the show nearly unwatchable, but we're supposed to overlook that little fact because society deems the show to be "good."

So I randomly stumbled upon the Season 2 premiere tonight while flipping through channels before getting to check out Season 1.

An Evening With Katherine Webb

Welcome to the Fiesta!

This past Monday while you were watching Raw, the BCS National Championship game gave us national exposure of the reigning Miss Alabama, Katherine Webb. Her popularity has since exploded, and since the Fiesta likes to stay up to date with the current trends, we will ogle her this week just like Brent Musburger!

See? This will be a good week. And this is just more proof that my Fiesta is better than Jope's. He would rather give us a screencap of some sort of obscure Ukrainian horror movie than an attractive half-naked female. Remember to vote Jope vs. Jedi for "Feud of the Year" when it comes time to vote for the WELPie Awards next month!

Last week I asked you what movie you were most looking forward to in January, and 45.5% of you answered Gangster Squad

-- Box Office News: Texas Chainsaw 3D slashes its way to #1 while main star Alexandra Daddario slashes her way into my spank bank heart
-- Trailer Time: Check out new trailers for Big Star, The Trance, Girls Against Boys and more!
-- In Theaters This Week: Gangster Squad and A Haunted House
-- Next Week's Notable DVD Releases: Taken 2, The Possession, To Rome With Love and Won't Back Down

-- RIP David R Ellis
-- 2013 Oscar Nominees have been announced. There are LOTS of snubs, apparently
-- Razzie Nominations have also been announced, in VIDEO FORM. Obviously they were fans of the video acceptance speeches from the WELPies
-- Box Office Mojo also takes a look at the box office winners and losers of 2012
-- Don't look for any Universal movies to be added to Netflix anytime soon
-- Who wants to see Mama in LA?
-- Quentin Tarantino MAD
-- Call of Duty won't be receiving a movie anytime soon
-- A big win for DC and Charlie Bros.
-- This... could work
-- More details on The Wolverine
-- Keep an eye out for NBC vs. Donald Trump at Wrestlemania this year
-- Still entertainment related: a dad in China hires an online hitman to get his son to stop playing video games

And that brings us to this week's poll.

Do you prefer the more risque Fiesta?
Yes - I CAN fap to this
No - Go back to lame references/gimmicks
Team Jope
Can't vote, staring at Katherine Webb pictures

Bumped by the Cotton Bowl Fiesta (Bowl)

Short Fiesta this week, as I have to go to Dallas for the weekend. In fact, I'm actually writing this on Thursday!

Last week I asked you what your favorite New Year's Eve movie is and a whopping 77.7% of you answered meh. Oh, you!

-- Box Office News: Django may have been unchained, but Gandalf and some Hobbits just enslaved him yet again
-- Trailer Time: Check out new trailers for Dead Man Down, Unfinished Song and The Canyons
-- In Theaters This Week: Texas Chainsaw 3D
-- Next Week's Notable DVD Releases: Frankenweenie, Dredd, Hit and Run, and Jennifer Lawrence Bouncing Around in a White Tank Top AKA House at the End of the Street

-- Box Office Mojo previews 2013's slate of movies
-- Wreck It Ralph will continue the lame trend of giving people the option to pay full price for a digital movie months before the physical DVD/Blu-Ray is released
-- JJ Abrams is pretty darn cool
-- Sony Pictures ruled 2012
-- The 2013 Producers Guild Film and TV Nominations have been announced
-- New Pixar-t

And that brings us to this week's poll.
