About the Fiesta

On January 8, 2010, the "Friday Film News Freak-Out" was submitted to the Blog of Doom. Originally intended to be brief placeholder content, posters reacted positively to the idea of a column dedicated to movie and TV news, and after several weeks, the column evolved into the Friday Film Fiesta. The poster known as "Jope" posted the column each week until a new job prevented him from doing so, and the Fiesta went through several writers before ultimately fading away.

In the summer of 2011, Diddly was broke, unemployed and overall very angry. He started The Diddly Scoop as a way to improve and develop his writing skills. The Diddly Scoop was originally intended to be an opinion blog with sports and pop culture news but quickly faded away from that. That same summer, news broke that a movie studio was planning on releasing a Stretch Armstrong movie starring Taylor Lautner. Diddly wanted to discuss how terrible of an idea this movie was, but had nowhere to voice his displeasure. So he announced he would resurrect the Fiesta just to have a place to discuss awful film ideas and general overall Hollywood news. It has been over three years now, and the Fiesta is still going strong!

Unless Diddly feels lazy or is too overwhelmed by real life to post a column.
