If Three Bloggers go to a Convention, Who is Left to Read a Fiesta?

This weekend Jeditab will be visiting SCENIC LUBBOCK, TEXAS, home of Texas Tech University, the Buddy Holly Museum and... lots of dust, desert and extreme heat! So it's a short intro this week.

Last week I asked you which Seth Macfarlane show is your favorite and you answered that you don't watch his shows.

  • Box Office News: The Conjuring scares lesser films into submission
  • Trailer Time: Check out new trailers for A Single Shot, 47 Ronin and more!
  • In Theaters This Week: The Wolverine
  • Next Week's Notable DVD Releases: GI Joe: Retaliation and Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox

    GLENNIESTA UP IN HERR

  • Comic Con Notes of Interest: A Batman/Superman movie is finally happening; Ultron is the villain in Avengers 2; This ain't your daddy's Robocop; Details on the Veronica Mars movie; More Planet of the Apes!
  • Netflix is ready for more original movies and more

And that brings us to this week's poll.

Which movie from SDCC excites you more?
    Superman/Batman
    Avengers: Age of Ultron
    Other
    Nothing excited me

    Emma Roberts' Punch Out!

It's the Fiesta that just won't stop! Much like Julia Roberts' teeth. And Emma Roberts' punches. And Jake Roberts' bottle of booze. Yeesh, at the risk of pissing any more Robertses off, let's get to things!

    First, two announcements!

    1. I have a special surprise coming in two weeks. Another FiGUESTa? Leaving the Blog FOREVER? A simple .gif stolen from Krowe? WHAT COULD IT BE?

    2. Yours truly will be attending Raw this coming Monday, and I just so happened to obtain seats facing the hard camera. THIS MEANS SIGNAGE. I need ideas, so hit me with them. My mom will also be in attendance, and I would be more than happy to set up some sort of wager as to which wrestler hits on her first.

Last week I asked if you liked the looks of the new Spider-Man villains, and the majority of you answered YES.

  • Box Office News: Crappy movies do the job for an old movie
  • Trailer Time: Check out new trailers for and more!
  • In Theaters This Week: Red 2, R.I.P.D., Turbo 3D and The Conjuring
  • Next Week's Notable DVD Releases: 12 Years a Slave, The Fifth Estate and more!

Links from the hair on my Glennie Glenn Glenn:
  • A TL;DR summary of last week's theory that all Pixar movies take place in one universe. It easily summarizes what I could not.
  • Now you, too, can visit famous movie filming spots in New York City, including the places where they filmed North By Northwest!

    FREE WILLE... LINK
  • NBC will be making digital comics based on old TV shows. Time to re-settle my throne as the Prince of Bel-Air!

  • Is Hollywood ruining its own movies?
  • Why is Netflix secretly cropping movies?
  • Check out the 2013 Emmy Nominees
  • Chronicle 2 has some problems
  • ATTENTION CHICAGO cWoSTERS: Be in Trans4mers! I had better see pics of Andy, Steve and Jawas hanging around in the background of shoots
  • My friends call me Murphy. You call me RebootCop
  • Awesome photos of the filming of Return of the Jedi!
  • For Community Fans: The Dan Harmon Story
  • American Dad has been canceled by FOX, but picked up by TBS. Good news for us fans. Sidenote, if anyone gave up on the show or never watched it, I HIGHLY recommend it, starting at Season 3. It's MUCH different than Family Guy, and better too.

And that brings us to this week's poll.

Which is your favorite Seth Macfarlane show?
    Family Guy
    American Dad
    The Cleveland Show
MEHth MEHcfarlane (aka I don't watch his shows)

    Pacific Rim (2013)

Just got back from Pacific Rim and honestly I wish I had wasted the money on Grown Ups 2 instead. At least then I could have watched my future ex-wife Alyson Michalka.

Terrible acting, terrible fight scenes, lame characters, cliche plot... literally the ONLY interesting thing about the movie was Charlie Day, and also Ron Pearlman, although he only interacted with Charlie Day so that's probably why. I would have walked out if I wasn't driving three people and didn't have an open tab at Alamo Drafthouse.

Hands down the worst movie of the summer out of all that I have seen. Even worse than Star Trek, which was actually good until the last 30 minutes.

    Recommendation to avoid.

    LATEiesta

I slept like all day yesterday, and the irony is that I had the Fiesta about 90% finished!

Last week I asked you how you celebrated the Fourth of July, and the majority answered Grill.BBQ. Non-USA'ers chastised me for asking such a biased question.

  • Box Office News: As I mentioned last week, nobody wants to see Johnny Depp as a Pirate as a Native American
  • Trailer Time: Check out new trailers for Austenland, Seventh Son, Out of the Furnace and more!
  • In Theaters This Week: Pacific Rim and GROWN UPS 2 YEEEEEEEEEEEHAW!

And that brings us to this week's poll.

Do you like the look of Electro/Rhino in the new Spider-Man movie?
    Yes
    No
    I don't watch Spider-Man movies
    RAIMI OR NOTHING

Jope vs. Ring Of Honor: Battle at the Pier One at Pier 39 (with Guest Ref Piers Morgan)

"Ring of Honor can go to hell." - Joseph Lee

For once this is a time where I will gladly join Team Jope! Not to get into a wrestling rant but that's exactly what I've been trying to tell you guys since 2002! That company isn't national! They can't even do Internet broadcasts without anything screwing up!

And while I'm at it, Antonio Cesaro sucks!

Last week you were asked if you would pay bundles of cash for premium on demand movies and the majority of you said you preferred to just hit the theaters or wait for the BR/DVD.

  • Box Office News: It's ok, Melissa McCarthy. You can stop now.
  • Bonus Box Office News: June results in billions of dollars (billions of dollars!) for Hollywood
  • BONUS PATRIOTIC BOX OFFICE NEWS: CGI dominates another movie with Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter as exotic characters!
  • In Theaters This Week: The Lone Ranger and Despicable Me 2
  • Next Week's Notable DVD Releases: Admission, Dead Man Down, Spring Breakers and Tyler Perry's Somethingorother13

  • In honor of July 4, Screened gives us a list of their favorite Independence Day movies. Spoiler: the half assedness makes me question why I use them for content
  • Alec Baldwin hates social media. As someone who is sick of it myself, I say RIGHT ON!
  • Like Samuel L. Jackson, Ray Park also wants to return in the new Star Wars. Umm, newsflash guys, your characters are DEAD if we don't count the Clone Wars cartoon, which we do not although never count out the JJ Abrams ALTERNATE UNIVERSE OF DOOM
  • Looks like we're headed out Californie Way

  • Good news for those who watch Falling Skies
  • Disney Concept Art! Featuring a terrifying Ursula and a Middle Eastern Aladdin!
  • For the love of all that is holy, CHANGE THAT MOVIE'S NAME!
  • What's deadlier than a Shark AND a Tornado? SHARKNADO!
  • For Krowe: Homemade recreations of 2013 movies. Also, a homemade version of Star Wars

And that brings us to this week's poll.

    Grill/BBQ
    Boating/Swimming
    Fireworks
    See a Movie

    None of the Above
