    Festichristmakwanzakah

Tis the season... to be tolerant of others' beliefs! Of course, NONE OF YOU IDIOTS REMEMBER FESTIVUS.

But one thing we can agree on, is that Summer Rae pictures have made everyone happy lately. Well, everyone but Andy.

Last week I asked you if you would watch a rebooted Naked Gun series starring Ed Helms, and you answered No.

  • Box Office News: Hobbitses love their precious!
  • Trailer Time: Check out new trailers for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Expendables 3 and more!
  • In Theaters This Week: American Hustle, Saving Mr. Banks, Inside Llewyn Davis and Anchorman: The Legend Continues
  • Next Week's Notable DVD Releases: Insidious Chapter 2

  • If you're a fan of Anna Pacquin, it is safe to skip Days of Future Past
  • Speaking of X-Men, the writers of X-2 will write X-Men: Apocalypse
  • The writers of Argo will rewrite Batman vs. Superman
  • Good news for those who deal with NFL Blackouts
  • Frank Darabont sues AMC
  • Breaking News: Disney has money
  • Robocop sets his sights on Chris Ho

And that brings us to this week's poll... Actually, no poll this week. I have nothing to ask.

WWE Raw Spoilers for December 23, 2013

So I went to another wrestling show last night, the Christmas 2013 taping of WWE Monday Night Raw. Here are the results, and I'll be adding some pictures later.

If you find this report anywhere other than Gerweck.net or rspwfa2.livejournal.com then someone has plagiarized me and I will hunt them down and chop their balls off or something. Or maybe sit here and do nothing. Yeah probably that last one.

    ===

Attendance was roughly 60%. The entire lower bowl was full but much of the upper deck was tarped off.

Dark Match: Zack Ryder def. Tyson Kidd with the Ruff Ryder

    Main Event:

    - Josh Matthews and The Miz come out for commentary.

    - Santa Claus kicks off the show. He had the Santa Mick Foley titantron but looked and sounded nothing like Foley. He's almost immediately interrupted by RybAxel, who call Santa fat and complain that they never got the gifts they wanted as kids. Miz comes to Santa's defense and challenges Axel to a match later.

    - Alex Riley music plays and he comes out to the announce table from somewhere that was not the main stage.

    - R-Truth and Xavier Woods def. Jinder Mahal and Drew MacIntyre after Truth hits a Lil' Jimmy on Drew. No Heath Slater.

    - AJ Lee (with Tamina) def. Kaitlyn with the Black Widow. Only thing I notice is that AJ is wearing her trademark daisy dukes and her titantron video has a ridiculous number of shots of her in a bra.

    - The Miz (with Santa) def. Curtis Axel (with Ryback). Finish came when Santa pulled out a stocking and hit a Mandible Claw on Ryback outside leading to Miz hitting the Skull Crushing Finale on Axel for the win. During the match the crew starts decorating the stage with Christmas trees and such for Raw. Miz sucks. Isn't he a heel now?

    Raw:

    - Michael Cole and JBL come out for commentary. No Lawler.

    - Show opens with Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Kane making their way to the ring in Santa hats. There is also a random guy with them wearing an elf hat. Crew members distribute Santa hats to everybody in the crowd. Triple H and Stephanie discuss Christmas and wish everybody a happy holidays when Randy Orton comes out. His Christmas present is that he has the night off. Segment ends with Kane setting off his ring pyro. Weird. I spent most of this segment trying to get a Santa hat but of course they JUST SO HAPPEN to run out just as I walk up to the arena staff. COWARDS.

    - Jingle Belles Match: Total Divas divas def. Not Total Divas divas when Natalya forces Aksana to submit to a Sharpshooter. AJ Lee sat at the commentary table. The divas were dressed as Santas, elves, and reindeer. Participants were: Bellas, Natalya, Eva Marie, the Funkadactyls, Kaitlyn, Summer Rae, Aksana, Vickie Guerrero, Alicia Fox and Tamina. Summer Rae is briefly in the match and takes a bunch of terrible moves from a Bella. I yell at her to counter but she obviously cannot hear her future ex-husband. At one point the Total Divas link arms and knock everyone down by skipping around. Awful.

    - Sin Cara def. Curtis Axel with a Swanton Bomb. Or Hunico def. Curtis Axel with a Swanton. Whichever one. New Sin Cara is much better than the old Sin Cara I booed at the Raw I went to in 2011.

    - Wyatt Family def. Goldust, Cody Rhodes, and Daniel Bryan. Crowd was the hottest for this match, and Bryan got a huge reaction. Good, long tag match that went around 20 minutes. Wyatt pins Bryan after a Roll of the Dice/Test Drive/Generic Finisher #89561832 and then the family escapes to the rocking chair as the Rhodeses try to make the save. The Rhodeses and Bryan were AWESOME. I still think the Wyatts are meh.

    - Renee Young hosts a Christmas Carol singing contest between Great Khali, Santino, Jinder Mahal, Drew MacIntyre, R-Truth and Xavier Woods. This was my piss break, so yeah, I can report on that if you'd like. The lines were long and the toilets were somewhat decently clean. Automatic flushers and sinks and soap dispensers. A good, clear flow means I was properly hydrated at the time. I try to get food but it appears they have sold out of food in my area? I come across the WWE Sign Guy near the concession stand and he seems pissed that he cannot get anything to eat. I wound up getting McDonalds later and felt like a big fat fuck. Why am I describing all of this? Meh.

    - Fandango (with Summer Rae) def. Dolph Ziggler in a Present on a Pole match. The pole was decorated as a candy cane. The present was a shot at the Intercontinental Title on the December 30 Raw. Summer Raw rubbed on the pole as she left the ring and it was awesome. I spend the entire match taking pictures of her like the perverted creep that I am. I got a shot of her bending over to get into the ring but it came out blurry. DAMN YOU CAMERA PHONE.

    - The Usos def. the Primetime Players. Before the match Titus goes over the PTP's Christmas wishes and Darren Young says he's in Houston, not Austin. Lots of boos and a "Houston Sucks" chant, and Darren knows he messed up. Usos get the pin on Young and all four do the Millions of Dollars dance post match. I want to say I was the first person to start the "Houston Sucks" chant (there was a "This is Austin" chant during the match and I yelled "Houston Sucks" as a dueling chant type thing) but it died out and then a regular Houston Sucks chant started so whoever did that will probably get the credit. Sigh.

    - Good Santa (Mark Henry) def. Bad Santa (Damien Sandow) in the Battle for Christmas. Sandow came out to the old Xanta Klaus theme. A glorified hardcore match. Sandow tries several times to use a fire extinguisher but cannot set it off. Henry unwraps a toilet and gives Sandow a swirlie. Henry wins with the World Strongest Slam and unwraps jingle bells and Christmas cupcakes afterwards. He throws the cupcakes in Sandow's face. Entertaining crap that Andy Halleen would hate.

    - Los Matadores (with Torito) def. the Real Americans (with Zeb Colter) when one of the Matadores pinned Swagger. Torito speared Cesaro on the outside at one point.

    - Ryback def. Kofi Kingston with the Shellshock

    - CM Punk, Big E Langston and John Cena cut a coked out 80's style promo on the Shield in the back. Meanwhile the Shield cut their own promo discussing how they dominated 2013 and will dominate in 2014 as well.

    - #badnewsbarrett comes to ringside and he has good news for us. He has spent all day collecting money for charity dressed as a Salvation Army guy. However he also has bad news for us: he isn't affiliated with any charities so he will be keeping all of the money he raised.

    - Promo for New Year's Raw featuring Big Show as the New Year's baby. He squirts milk from a bottle on a stagehand and is handed a giant pacifier. As entertaining as it sounds.

    - CM Punk, John Cena and Big E Langston and The Shield wrestled to a No Contest when the referee threw the match out. Punk seemed upset with the crowd; as they did the usual dueling chants for Cena, he yelled "I know you hate Cena but if you don't stop booing him you won't get me or Big E." Referee finally throws the match out after losing control of the match. The faces hit their finishers and celebrate. At some point after the cameras stop rolling Cena is left alone in the ring and Randy Orton attacks him and says he's getting a rematch now.

Dark Main Event: John Cena def. Randy Orton by DQ when Orton hit Cena with the title belts. Cena hits the AA and Orton flees.

Cena then calls out a stagehand who is one of his road buddies and is celebrating his 50th birthday. Cena gets the crowd to sing Happy Birthday and the crowd goes home happy.

Total time of the event was around 4 hours. No backstage segments were shown other than what we saw from Shield and Cena/Big E/Punk. Maybe I'll edit in more snarky comments later too after I get some sleep.

Tyler Perry Presents: A Madea Fiesta

WASSUP MY NI... yeah I can't do a Madea impersonation because I've never seen a Madea movie! So instead, enjoy a photograph of Summer Rae with a Slammy!

Last week I asked you if you liked the choice to cast Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and you answered... well, the REAL winner was Wonder WoMEHn but it sounds funnier when we diss an attractive woman for her boobs/butt not being big enough, so let's go with one of those.

    Rogue Squadron 15th Anniversary Spectacular!

Sorry about last week. I had off from my graveyard shift and was awake for normal hours, so I decided to live it up. Plus there was hardly any news out there. Have a .gif of Summer Rae spinning as an apology!

Last week my plan was to make a bunch of Thanksgiving references and maybe call someone a turkey but laziness. So this week we will be celebrating the 15th Anniversary of the release of one of my favorite Nintendo 64 games, Star Wars Rogue Squadron!

You fools may have been playing Ocarina of Time or WCW/nWo Revenge for Christmas in 1998 but this was my jam, yo!

Two weeks ago I asked you which classic Christmas movie needs a sequel, and you answered NONE of them.

  • Box Office News: Despite stuffing their faces with turkey, people still have hunger
  • Trailer Time: Check out new trailers for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Her and more!
  • In Theaters This Week: ...nothing?

  • Where IS the best place to sit in a theater?
  • Whaaaaaaaaat is going on?

  • The death of Paul Walker is NOT a hoax
  • In the meantime, work on Fast 7 has been suspended
  • We have our Wonder Woman, and she's not as busty as the comic version. You may complain below.
  • Don't worry, Glenn! A third Star Trek is coming!
  • We also have confirmation of the next X-Men movie. But will Hugh Jackman be a part of it?
  • Oh... Oh God, why?!?
  • Disney continues its Lucasfilm buying spree. So help me God if they get their hands on American Graffiti...
  • I feel like we've tried having a Terminator TV series before
  • Jon Favreau and the creators of Smallville are joining forces with MTV to bring you programming that doesn't involve pregnant teenagers!
  • Get ready for MORE Louis CK
  • Good news for FOTV, Todahshy, and other basketball... oh, right. Carry on then.
  • Ted Turner is entering the Entertainin' Business. How long before we get CNN personality parodies battling it out on the Wrestlemania pre-show?

And that brings us to this week's poll.

Do you like the choice of Gal Gadot for Wonder Woman?
    Yes
    No, needs a bigger rack
    No, needs a bigger ass
    Wonder WoMEHn

    Elaine Benes-Kennedy, Sr.

Bare with me folks, we're celebrating lots of anniversaries over the next several weeks. Why not start with the 50th anniversary of the assassination of John F. Kennedy?

Ask not what your Blog can do for you, but what you can do for your Blog. Seriously, 12 comments in a Walk thread? Let's see if this thread can crack ten!

Last week I asked you which video game system you were more likely to purchase, and you answered Playstation 4.

  • Box Office News: Raw is still Thor
  • Trailer Time: Check out new trailers for Muppets Most Wanted, A Haunted House 2 and more!
  • In Theaters This Week: Delivery Man and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

  • It has been a record breaking year for Universal
  • New movies are on the way to Amazon
  • Spinoff Man, Spinoff Man, does whatever a Spider-Man can
  • The title for the Batman vs Superman flick might have just been revealed by trendy Internet hacker type people
  • Coming soon from Kevin Smith: a horror movie where Justin Long becomes a human walrus
  • The Simpsons reruns are moving to FXX

And that brings us to this week's poll.

Which classic Christmas movie needs a sequel?

    Jingle All The Way

*takes bag of cash from Sony executives*

ZOMG GUYS THE PLAYSTATION 4 IS RELEASED TODAY IN NORTH AMERICA!

... yeah I couldn't think of a gimmick so we get this. Let's just do both of us a favor and get on to the copy/pasted movie news!

    I don't play video games

MTV's My Super Sweet 16: Montreal

Welcome to the Time Honored Tradition that is the Friday Film Fiesta! This week, we are celebrating... ugh... the 16th Anniversary of the Montreal Screwjob.

Good grief, aren't we over this thing finally? Everybody else seems to be. But not here at the Fiesta! We'd rather make lame, obscure, out of date references than try to be hip to the latest pop culture trends! #yoloswag420jesustwerking

Last week I asked you what November "tradition" you celebrate, and you answered that we are all just a bunch of chronic masturbaters.

My town still has them/I still use them

  • Friday, November 1, 2013

    No Shave/No Fap Movember

It's officially November now. Where does the time go? Anyway, time to hit up your local stores to purchase discounted Halloween candy. And don't forget to take off your costumes and put your regular street clothes back on, just like the girl below is doing!

Last week I asked you if you were excited for the revival of the Hellraiser franchise, and you answered both No and Lame, lazy, reused poll.

  • Some guy bought a LaserDisc and found lost footage from Return of the Jedi
  • For the love of all that is holy, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

What November "tradition" do you celebrate/attempt to celebrate?
    No Shave November
    No Fap November
    Movember

    Slim Jim's Halloween Havoc '13

Just because WCW Halloween Havoc is no more doesn't mean that the Fiesta can't create more Slim Jim sponsored havoc on Halloween 2013!

And in the honor of that one super mega huge 1998 Halloween Havoc, the Fiesta is twice the size this week! Last week I went out of town on Saturday and nobody could post the Fiesta until Monday, so I said "Welp!" and decided to hold off until today with a DOUBLE FIESTA OF DOOM.

TWO WEEKS AGO I asked you which canceled OR ENDED (thanks Andy) TV show you wanted to pay to briefly revive, and you answered "stuff not listed"!

  • Box Office News: Gravity sinks Captain Phillips' boat
  • Trailer Time: Check out new trailers for That Awkward Moment, The Grand Budapest Hotel and more!

  • Next Week's Notable DVD Releases: The Conjuring and The Internship

  • Coming soon to cable TV... Netflix?
  • Indiewire lists 7 Hot Actors that are now Not Hot

  • View the Superman 75th anniversary short
  • Get ready for a film covering the making of a fan film of a film!
  • A viral article for Amazing Spider-Man 2 mentions Smythe, leading to rumors of Spider Slayers...
  • The CW has aired many atrocities without question, such as MVP and Matt Hardy playing basketball, Biker Chuck Palumbo, and Batista cutting a promo on basketballs, but when it comes to teen masturbation, you'd better slow your role!
  • Sigh

    And for this week's news...

  • Box Office News: Gravity continues to lift the competitors' money from its pockets!
  • Trailer Time: Check out new trailers for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Hours and more!
  • In Theaters This Week: The Counselor and Bad Grandpa
  • Next Week's Notable DVD Releases: Monsters University and R.I.P.D.

Next week is Ender's Game, but this week is Glennder's Game:
  • What does a real astronaut think of Gravity?
  • Awkward moments in Star Wars

  • is this the end for Parks and Rec?

    No
    Great Song, Ozzy Rules
This same lame question was already asked last year... with the exact same choices too!

I was planning to finally unveil the hit new column of the month, OcTABerfest but then the Government decided to shut down, so the Fiesta will shut down as well! Second Anniversary Fiesta Fiesta

Welcome one and all to the Second Anniversary Fiesta of jeditab hosting the Friday Film Fiesta! Yes, it has been two years since the Fiesta returned with a horrifically outdated Rebecca Black reference. Since that time, I've brought you multiple gimmick columns, a worked feud with Jope that I badly botched, a hiatus while I tried to balance overnight shifts and high school football coverage, threatened to quit the Blog, and became the most hated Blogginite since Yagobo! All of this in addition to hardly bringing you any movie news!

What excitement will the next year bring? Only one way to find out!

    GREETINGS EVERYONE!

It is I, the Coach, hosting the Friday Film Fiesta this week in order to get you pumped up for the upcoming football season. You may remember last year when Lou Holtz hosted the Fiesta. He was asked to show up yet again, but was mysteriously found unconscious backstage having been put through a table. So why not get a fellow ESPN employee to fill in?

    Emma Roberts' Punch Out!

It's the Fiesta that just won't stop! Much like Julia Roberts' teeth. And Emma Roberts' punches. And Jake Roberts' bottle of booze. Yeesh, at the risk of pissing any more Robertses off, let's get to things!

    First, two announcements!

    1. I have a special surprise coming in two weeks. Another FiGUESTa? Leaving the Blog FOREVER? A simple .gif stolen from Krowe? WHAT COULD IT BE?

    2. Yours truly will be attending Raw this coming Monday, and I just so happened to obtain seats facing the hard camera. THIS MEANS SIGNAGE. I need ideas, so hit me with them. My mom will also be in attendance, and I would be more than happy to set up some sort of wager as to which wrestler hits on her first.

Last week I asked if you liked the looks of the new Spider-Man villains, and the majority of you answered YES.

  • Box Office News: Crappy movies do the job for an old movie

  • For Community Fans: The Dan Harmon Story
  • American Dad has been canceled by FOX, but picked up by TBS. Good news for us fans. Sidenote, if anyone gave up on the show or never watched it, I HIGHLY recommend it, starting at Season 3. It's MUCH different than Family Guy, and better too.

    Pacific Rim (2013)

Just got back from Pacific Rim and honestly I wish I had wasted the money on Grown Ups 2 instead. At least then I could have watched my future ex-wife Alyson Michalka.

Terrible acting, terrible fight scenes, lame characters, cliche plot... literally the ONLY interesting thing about the movie was Charlie Day, and also Ron Pearlman, although he only interacted with Charlie Day so that's probably why. I would have walked out if I wasn't driving three people and didn't have an open tab at Alamo Drafthouse.

Hands down the worst movie of the summer out of all that I have seen. Even worse than Star Trek, which was actually good until the last 30 minutes.

    Recommendation to avoid.

    Friday Film Fiesta

Ya Boy An-Day here yet again TAKING OVER! "Tabber" was apparently too lazy to write a Fiesta this week and pawned it off on me since I did "such a good job" with WOW this week in G-Bunnie's absence. WELP, I'm up for the challenge! #teamjope

    Naked Hair Combing

Welcome to the... Yeah sorry I have to keep watching this video. VERY VERY NSFW. The music is god awful but the girl is quite the opposite.

How silly of me, dedicating yet another Fiesta to a girl that none of us can ever have in order to distract you from figuring out I have no witty intro to make this week.

Last week I asked if the end was nigh for 3D home entertainment, and you said no, not until we get WWE productions in 3D! 3WWED?
