Friday Film Fiesta

Ya Boy An-Day here yet again TAKING OVER! "Tabber" was apparently too lazy to write a Fiesta this week and pawned it off on me since I did "such a good job" with WOW this week in G-Bunnie's absence. WELP, I'm up for the challenge! #teamjope

So to celebrate, here's a picture of my handsome mug!

Last week ole JediFlake asked how much you would pay to see World War Z in theaters and there was a three way tie! Basically you would pay anything below $10. And like naked women.

  • Box Office News: People are surprised that World War Z did well. Have they not been paying attention to ANYTHING successful over the last 5 years? Zombies = Money!
  • Trailer Time: Check out new trailers for Thanks For Sharing, Escape Plan, and more!
  • In Theaters This Week: The Heat and White House Down
  • Next Week's Notable DVD Releases: 6 Souls and Inescapable

  • RIP Richard Matheson
  • Movies get release dates. As pointed out by Jope on Facebook, 50 Shades opens the same day as Guardians of the Galaxy. FRIENDSHIPS WILL BE ENDED. PEOPLE WILL BE JUDGED.
  • Breaking up is hard to do, unless you're Warner Bros. and Legendary
  • Disney and Sony continue testing premium Video On Demand
  • Ever wanted to make a movie? Amazon wants to help out!
  • In honor of summer, it's the best camp movies!
  • Zach Snyder talks Sequel of Steel
  • Krowe wanted us to watch some homemade movie yesterday. It probably sucked like all homemade movies do. This video agrees.
  • Another Trans4mer5 reveal
  • She's been Taken... again!
  • Could this mean the end of Sunny Days on Sesame Street?
  • Look for less sequels in Pixar's future
  • If you need a reason to not do meth, look no further than a former That 70's Show star!

And that brings us to this week's poll.

Would you be willing to pay to watch Premium On Demand movies?
    Yes
    No
    Theater/Physical Media for me!

    Naked Hair Combing

Welcome to the... Yeah sorry I have to keep watching this video. VERY VERY NSFW. The music is god awful but the girl is quite the opposite.

How silly of me, dedicating yet another Fiesta to a girl that none of us can ever have in order to distract you from figuring out I have no witty intro to make this week.

Last week I asked if the end was nigh for 3D home entertainment, and you said no, not until we get WWE productions in 3D! 3WWED?

  • Box Office News: Man of Steel sets records! BUT WAIT... The Last of Us makes even more money than that in the UK!
  • Trailer Time: Check out new trailers for jOBS, The LEGO Movie, and more!
  • In Theaters This Week: Monsters University and World War Z

  • An exclusive look at the cast of the Avengers from 1978!

  • RIP James Gandolfini
  • See World War Z this weekend for the low price of $50!
  • Who will be the new Iron Man?
  • If you're a fan of Shailene Woodley, you might not want to watch Amazing Spider-Man 2. Rumor is she has been replaced by Sarah Gadon
  • Verizon gets one over on Netflix users
  • Dumb gets Dumber
  • Bryan Cranston on the best moment of his career: "There was a guy who was hit by a crane and killed instantly. I couldn't stop laughing."
  • Stephen Colbert's tribute to his mother. Just TRY not to cry
  • Great news for Lamar S. Smith
  • Has Jurassic Park 4 been soiled?
  • WELCOME BACK TO ERRFF
  • "Just Bring It" looks set to become this decade's new version of "Hasta la Vista, Baby"
  • And we end with the weekly streaming update

And that brings us to this week's poll.

How much would you pay to see World War Z in theaters?
    Nothing/Illegal Download
    $1-10
    $10-25
    $25-50
    $50+
I'd pay $50 to comb naked Emily Ratajkowski's hair

    Microsoft's Fiesta One

Welcome to a dazzling edition of the Friday Film Fiesta!

Remember how each Fiesta used to be sponsored by something and used as a tie in for various products? Like Burger King Free Fry Friday or Transformers Friday? In a bit of a shocker, Microsoft remembered and purchased the rights to the Fiesta this week! In fact, here's Don Mattrick with a special announcement for those of you waiting for the WELPies!

"We have a WELPies Award Show for those who want it posted. It's called the 37th Annual WELPie Awards."

And here's Our Boy An-Day with an exclusive Andalysis!

"If you spend $400-500 on a new video game console, you are a fucking loser."

  • Trailer Time: Check out new trailers for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, 300: Rise of an Empire, and more!
  • In Theaters This Week: This Is The End and Man of Steel
  • Next Week's Notable DVD Releases: 21 and Over, Jack the Giant Slayer and Movie 43

Thank God SOMEBODY is reading the Fiesta.

    BLOG NOTES OF DOOM:

    - The WELPies ARE coming. But as for when, who knows. Maybe if I get motivated to write them, hint hint? An-day offered me $5 but then rescinded the offer and told me he was going to kick me in the balls. That's not positive enough, sir!
    - Speaking of An-day, I believe he is going to Justin and Scott this thread with some sort of Metallica tribute thread this weekend, so send him your top 5 or 10 favorite Metallica songs.

Last week you were asked what you wanted the future of the Fiesta to be, and I WILL POST THE WELPIES WHEN I AM DAMN WELL READY. And maybe there are still a few fiGUESTas in que...
