Friday Film Fiesta

It's time for the Friday Film Fiesta, which means that in a few hours it will be the weekend!

Last week I asked which franchise you prefer - Star Trek or Star Wars? The result was even worse than anyone could have imagined: a TIE. Six people voted for Star Trek, while another six voted for Star Wars. BUT, the important thing is that nobody voted for Lost in Space.

- Box Office News: The Lion King has been overtaken by... wait, really?
- Trailer Time: The Lady, War Horse, Arthur Christmas, The Adventures of Tintin, Young Adult, Tower Heist, and Happy Feet 2
- In Theaters This Week: Dirty Girl, The Ides of March, Real Steel, and if you're lucky, The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence)!
- Next Week's Notable DVD Releases: Horrible Bosses, Zookeeper (10/11) and Green Lantern (10/14). I sense another sponsor for next week's Fiesta...

- RIP Charles Napier
- RIP The Simpsons? This will make a few Blog members happy...
- Theaters aren't happy about Sony's plans to charge extra for 3D glasses
- Disney, meanwhile, is planning more 3D rereleases, presumably with free glasses
- Arrested Development is returning to TV AND theaters. Jason Bateman confirms the news. And everyone wants the rights to the new episodes
- Tower Heist will premiere on Pay-Per-View for a little more than a WWE or UFC show! And in late breaking news added just before submission, Cinemark is threatening to boycott the film
- We have more videos from the set of The Dark Knight Rises
- Not to be outdone by DC, have some new pictures from the set of The Avengers
- But here comes DC again with a look at Jor-El!
- Oh but Marvel counters again with news of an Avengers trailer debuting at New York Comic Con! Scratch that, this Tuesday!
- Wait, here are some pics of Lois Lane and Clark Kent. DC wins!
- Not so fast my friend, Marvel with the KO!
- J.J. Abrams is planning a new secret, mystery project. My guess is it will involve alternate dimensions
- Zoolander is apparently getting a sequel
- Are you British and looking for work? Universal needs a new director for Bridget Jones 3
- Does Bond 23 have its name?
- Next up on Hollywood's Reboot Hitlist: Mr. Ed
- And why the hell not, a Zorro reboot
- Johnny Depp's next strange character: Dr. Seuss?

That brings us to this week's poll:

Would you be willing to pay $60 to watch movies on PPV before they hit theaters?
Yes
No
Only specific films/genres
PPV is for wrestling, MMA and porn
