MTV's My Super Sweet 16: Montreal

Welcome to the Time Honored Tradition that is the Friday Film Fiesta! This week, we are celebrating... ugh... the 16th Anniversary of the Montreal Screwjob.

Good grief, aren't we over this thing finally? Everybody else seems to be. But not here at the Fiesta! We'd rather make lame, obscure, out of date references than try to be hip to the latest pop culture trends! #yoloswag420jesustwerking

Last week I asked you what November "tradition" you celebrate, and you answered that we are all just a bunch of chronic masturbaters.

  • Box Office News: A simple child brings old people to their knees in defeat
  • Trailer Time: Check out new trailers for Winter's Tale, Robocop and more!
  • In Theaters This Week: The Book Thief and Thor: The Dark World
  • Next Week's Notable DVD Releases: Man of Steel and Turbo

  • Blockbuster is officially closed for business. The last remaining Blockbuster near me closed in late 2010, with the rest falling long before then. We still have local video stores but they're all the way downtown and a real hassle to get to. You may leave your memories of video rentals and late fees in the comments below!
  • Marvel and Netflix combine to bring us four live action series
  • Coming December 18, 2015 - Star Wars Episode VII. May 4, 2016 would have worked a lot better, if you ask me
  • Speaking of Star Wars, JJ Abrams discusses why he took over the franchise
  • Ridley Scott wants to make a drama about concussions and football players
  • Mister Part Time Wrestler takes his skills to the military
  • ATTENTION ANDY: Satisfy your craving for Guardians of the Galaxy with this interview with the director!
  • This week in Slightly Unnecessary Sequel News: The Purge
  • Speaking of sequels, we might be getting WolverIIIne
  • Could one of these unknowns be the next Wonder Woman?

And that brings us to this week's poll.

Do you miss video rental stores?
    Yes
    No
My town still has them/I still use them
