The Super Bowl of Movie Columns

Welcome to the latest edition of the Friday Film Fiesta, a column that totally wasn't written right after I failed to score Eddie Vedder tickets this afternoon!

Last week, a slow news week combined with creative burnout caused me to not hold a poll at the end of the column. Let's try to prevent that from happening again this week!

-- Box Office News: The Grey becomes yet another "Badass Liam Neeson" movie, while Man on a Ledge fails to live up to its hype of being the best movie about a man on a ledge this year
-- Trailer Time: Crooked Arrows, The Cold Light of Day, Deadline, 7500, Boy, Cirkus Columbia, The Island President, The Hunger Games, and Tyler Perry Presents: Good Deeds
-- In Theaters This Week: Big Miracle, Chronicle, and The Woman in Black
-- Next Week's Notable DVD Releases: Twilight Part Whatever, Anonymous, and A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas

Once again we begin with links from the man who will not enjoy that "Eli Manning is Poopy" line:
-- Breaking Out and Breaking In
-- TALK, DAMN YOU!

-- RIP Ian Abercrombie
-- Screened is taking a look at some of the movies nobody saw in 2011. First up is some Gus Van Sant hipster movie
-- As discussed earlier this week, Watchmen is getting a prequel. Will a movie as terrible as the first one follow? TUNE IN NEXT WEEK TO FIND OUT!
-- More comics are getting movie adaptations
-- The Robocop reboot gets a new screenwriter
-- Coming Soon: Katy Perry in 3D(D)
-- Also coming soon: A movie called NSFW. ROFLMAO HTH G2G
-- Photos! Here is a sneak at 2019 Summer of Tarantino Roundtable film Django Unchained as well as the first photos from the Star Trek sequel and The Hobbit!
-- Laugh (or cry) at a terrible commercial for the Phantom Menace 3D cash-grab!
-- This Week in "Who the Hell Wanted THAT Movie Remade?" News: Short Circuit
-- Your Childhood is ruined. Again
-- Oh yeah, Adam Sandler will be starring in a film version of Candy Land. Umm, okay then
-- And take a look at film-related Super Bowl ads before they hit TV!

And that brings us to this week's poll.

Do you have any interest in movies based on board games and toys?
Yes
No
Meh, better than another remake/reboot
