Two Thousand Fifteen

Welcome to the first Fiesta of the year 2015! And possibly the last to be posted on RSPWFA2, depending on when we decide to pull the plug on this comatose patient.

Yes, we skipped last week. But we have enough Canadians posting (or formerly posting) on here that deserve to have a Boxing Day free of copy/pasted movie news and pictures of scantily-clad women!

Two weeks ago I asked if you thought Sony was right to pull The Interview, and you answered yes. Well weren't we all wrong?!?

  • Box Office News: Two weeks ago, Hobbit 3 beat out a bunch of crap. Last week, it also conquered Christmas!
  • Trailer Time: Check out new trailers for Dragon Blade, Entourage: The Movie, and more!
  • In Theaters This Week: The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death
  • Next Week's Notable DVD Releases: Boyhood, Get On Up, Left Behind, and No Good Deed

  • RIP Christine Cavanaugh, Luise Rainer, and Edward Herrmann
  • We begin 2015 by looking back at 2014's Most Pirated Movies
  • We also have a list of 2014's Most Pirated TV Shows!
  • 2014 also had quite a bit of box office busts
  • 2014 also has the distinction of having the lowest box office ticket sales since 1995 for all of North America
  • The new Ghostbusters reboot apparently won't ruin your childhood
  • Sam Raimi on Spider-Man 3: "I messed up plenty"
  • Speaking of Spider-Man, it could have been worse
  • Why you shouldn't see Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, which can also be used as a good argument as to why splitting up movies into two parts is stupid. There is a difference between remaining faithful to a book/novel and stretching something out for the sake of money *cough*hobbit*cough*
  • That's SIR John Hurt to you
  • Are you a doofus consumer who bought (or received as a gift) Days of Future Past as a gift this holiday season? You big stupid dummy!
  • The most anticipated film of 2015 is...
  • Coming to Netflix in January: The Bat Credit Card!

And that brings us to this week's poll.

What is your most anticipated movie of 2015?
    Fifty Shades of Grey
    Hot Tub Time Machine 2
    Furious 7
    Avengers: Age of Ultron
    Jurassic World
    Magic Mike XXL
    Terminator Genisys
    Ant Man
    Fantastic Four
